WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Reporting to the Director of Communications in Korea, this role sits within Nike Korea’s Communications team. The team drives narrative-led storytelling to build market trust, partnering closely with Marketing, Sports Marketing, Sales, Merchandising, Planning, Legal, HR, as well as APLA and Global Communications teams.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Nike is looking for a Lead Professional, Communications Korea who brings deep expertise in communications and a strong understanding of the Korean media landscape. This role acts as a critical connector—translating global and APLA narratives into locally relevant storytelling that strengthens Nike’s voice in the market. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong strategic thinking, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and excels in turning insights into clear, actionable plans. They are a collaborative team player with a proactive mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment while maintaining high standards in execution and stakeholder engagement.
Key Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate communications or public relations, ideally within global organizations
Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field
Proven end-to-end project management capability (strategy to execution, including agency management)
Strong network across Korea’s media and editorial landscape
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Korean and English
Ability to work in Seoul, Korea and travel approximately 20–30%
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will lead the development and execution of strategic communications to engage both external and internal audiences, strengthening Nike’s market trust in Korea through compelling storytelling and strong media relationships.
You will:
Build and execute Korea-specific narrative and storytelling strategies aligned with business priorities
Develop and maintain strong relationships across the Korean media and editorial ecosystem
Lead proactive story planning and ensure stakeholder alignment through clear communication rhythms
Drive press office excellence, including media materials, briefing tools, and storytelling pipelines
Manage communications agencies end-to-end, ensuring high-quality output and performance
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated execution
Translate complex topics into clear communication outputs, including briefings, messaging, and Q&A
