Job Description:
The Senior Digital Systems Project Engineer leads the design, engineering, integration, testing, and commissioning of Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and Digital Energy solutions. The role serves as the technical lead for project execution and ensures successful delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
The position combines technical expertise with project coordination, customer engagement, risk management, and commercial awareness. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, customers, and cross-functional teams to achieve project and business objectives.
The role supports the delivery of mission-critical projects, including Data Centers, High-Tech Manufacturing Facilities, Commercial Buildings, and Critical Infrastructure projects across Korea and East Asia. It also provides a development pathway toward future Project Management, Technical Leadership, or Team Leadership roles within DEAC.
Key Responsibilities:
System Design & Engineering Leadership

Lead design, engineering, integration, testing and commissioning activities for BMS, EPMS, ECMS and Digital Energy solutions.

Develop system architecture, network topology, control strategies and engineering deliverables. (e.g. Functional Design Specifications, Point Schedules, Control Sequences, Equipment Schedules, Graphics Development, Database Generation, Commissioning Documentation, etc.)

Ensure compliance with customer requirements, Schneider standards and contractual obligations.

Support FAT, SAT and commissioning activities.
Project Execution & Delivery

Own engineering execution throughout project lifecycle.

Coordinate engineering activities among internal teams, partners and subcontractors.

Monitor engineering progress and proactively address execution challenges.

Support project planning, scheduling, forecasting, resource coordination and execution reviews in close collaboration with Project Managers.

Take ownership of small to medium-sized project scopes and progressively develop project management competencies.
Customer & Technical Leadership

Serve as primary technical interface with customers, consultants and contractors.

Lead technical clarification meetings and design reviews.

Present engineering solutions and obtain customer approvals.

Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and commissioning activities.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and standardization.
Continuous Improvement & Commercial Support

Identify technical risks and mitigation actions.

Identify opportunities for change orders, technical optimization and scope enhancement to improve customer satisfaction and project profitability.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and competency development within DEAC Korea.

Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or above in: Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering or Related Engineering Discipline
Experience
- 5-10 years of experience in BMS, EPMS, SCADA, PLC/DDC or Building Automation projects.
- Proven track record leading engineering activities for medium to large-scale projects.
- Experience in Data Center, Critical Facility or Industrial Infrastructure projects is preferred.
Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of BMS, EPMS, SCADA, PLC and DDC systems.
- Experience in system architecture design, controls strategy development and system integration.
- Familiarity with Schneider Electric EcoStruxure solutions is preferred.
Communication & Leadership Competencies
- Strong business English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lead technical discussions and engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead project activities without formal authority.
- Commercial awareness and willingness to take on broader project and technical responsibilities.
