OverallPurpose of the Job The Security Specialist, Korea isresponsible for the coordination, delivery and quality of intelligence andassistance provided in South Korea primarily to Korean-speaking clientsoperating globally, and secondarily to inbound clients to South Korea. B. KeyResponsibilities: Leadership l As a subject matter expert,proactively collaborate with relevant stakeholders in the Assistance Centre,Medical team, Flight Desks, & Travel Advisor teams to ensure comprehensivenessof case management and operational planning outputs in addition to overall economyof effort. Operational Service Delivery l Provide high-qualitywritten and verbal security risk management advice and assistance in Korean, inline with agreed service delivery standards; l Deliver high-quality Koreanlanguage information & analysis deliverables, including forecasts andin-depth analytical reports, in line with market need and editorial standards; l Support the integrationwith global Security Intelligence & Assistance platform to ensureappropriate situational awareness of global issues affecting Korean speakingclients l During major escalations,lead outreach to Korean speaking clients aligned with the approved Party Line; l As required, travel tosupport RSCs Country Visit requirements to assess current situation, localprovider capabilities and expand existing network of contact to further supportclients; l As required, be prepared todeploy at short notice as part of an Incident Management Team. Consulting Delivery & Sales,Marketing Support l Contribute to InternationalSOS’ account management and planning activities with a focus on penetrating,expanding and protecting accounts. l Support the Sales andMarketing teams in the articulation of International SOS’ services and inproviding functional expertise in South Korea – client facing forums such aswebinars. l Coordinate security contributionsto Assistance Centre tours, including preparation, rehearsal and delivery; l Support and assist with onboardingof new Korean-speaking clients, as required. Assist in the localization ofproducts and solutions l As required, deliver safetyand security training and workshops-especially those focused on South Korea –as well as engage in client specific security assistance consultancy tasks asrequired. A. JobProfile Required Skills and Knowledge l Strong knowledge of securityrisk management best practices and principals across a diversity of risk environments. l Security, risk managementand/or crisis management expertise; l Knowledge of all aspects ofan intelligence cycle; l Excellent written andverbal communication and analytical skills; l Strong interest in theglobal political and security landscape; l Strong influencing skills; l High levels of attention todetail. l Ability to work in a global,cross-cultural context. Desirable Work Experience l Relevant experience insecurity or intelligence operations in military, police, government, NGO, journalism,or private sector roles is preferred. l Client management and/orSecurity planning experience l Experience in operating inInternational Context (postings, exchanges or experience of working within aforeign multinational company) l Experience in writing andpresentation for a business audience and business decision-makers l Delivery of consultingtasks an advantage l Development and delivery ofinternal and external training sessions an advantage Qualifications l Bachelor’s degree (orequivalent experience) in security, politics, international relations, lawenforcement, criminal science, disaster management or related field.
