Teradyne Field Applications team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, driven Field Application Engineer who will work collaboratively with the team as well as independently to determine and develop imaginative, thorough, and practical application solutions.
Location: Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, South Korea (LG Innotek)
Responsibilities
Develop test processes including test strategy, interface design, ATE, test software, fixturing, software tools, documentation, training, and process control capabilities.
Integrate new processes into production. Serve as a technical resource for factory operations.
Investigate and develop more efficient test processes utilizing metrics to indicate results. Go beyond individual defect investigation & characterization to understanding defect trends to influence testing directions.
Data collection, analysis, SW debug to find out root cause at customer site with excellent performance.
Develops and maintains a high degree of customer satisfaction and credibility by providing innovative, timely solutions to system problems.
Weekly or even daily analysis reports to the field services team and Teradyne engineering team.
Moderate travel is required, both within Asia and to the US to work with the larger engineering team and other customer service teams.
Basic Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics is preferred.
Familiar with embedded system FPGA/Microcontroller architecture
Familiar with SPI/I2C/SMBUS/UART inter-communication
Familiar with network knowledge, DHCP, TFTP service and TCP/IP communication.
Understand basic electronics circuits and debug capability.
Familiar on both Windows and Linux basic command.
Good skills in statistical software tools for complex data analysis and report.
Knowledge of .NET framework, C/C++/C# programming with Visual Studio.
Application or Test Development engineer in semiconductor/HDD/automation test process industry is advantage.
Knowledge of developing test software on LabVIEW or MATLAB is advantage
Fluency in English required.
Good attitude and enthusiastic to work.
Minimum of 3-5 years of working experience.
