The Shipping Application Developer is accountable for the end-to-end ownership of application development capabilities supporting shipping solutions within the shipping domain.
This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications to ensure consistency, scalability, and long-term sustainability of the digital landscape. It plays a critical role in enabling reliable day-to-day operations while supporting transformation initiatives aligned with Shipping 2.0 and broader enterprise digital strategies.
Contributing as a key technical contributor within the domain, the role ensures that business requirements are translated into robust, reusable, and architecture-aligned application solutions. The position also drives engineering excellence, promotes standardization, and ensures that shared platforms deliver measurable value across multiple systems and stakeholders.
Job Description:

Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications

Design, develop, and implement application components based on established architecture standards

Participate in development across front-end and back-end layers based on project requirements (web-based applications and APIs)

Participate in system testing, quality assurance, and performance optimization

Maintain and enhance existing applications and resolve issues in a timely manner

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions

Document system design, development processes, and operational procedures
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline

Experience in at least one of the following:
- Java (Spring-based development preferred)
- .NET (C# / ASP.NET)

Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) is preferred

Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, REST API, JSON)

Basic understanding of databases (e.g., MS SQL, Oracle)

Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing processes

Strong sense of ownership with a proactive attitude toward assigned tasks

Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team environment

Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies
