The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market presence for Leica Microsystems' Electron Microscope Sample Preparation equipment used in advanced life science and industrial applications across South Korea.
The role focuses on strategic sales development, channel partner management, customer engagement, and business growth across academic, research, healthcare, and industrial markets.
The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training on Leica's Electron Microscope Sample Preparation portfolio, and will co-work with regional and global application specialists.
This position reports to the Sales Director of Leica Microsystems Korea and is part of the IND/LNT Division, based in Seoul. The role covers the entire country and requires frequent domestic travel, along with occasional international travel.

An opportunity to take ownership of the Electron Microscope Sample Preparation equipment business in Korea, working closely with cross-functional teams locally and collaborating with regional and global counterparts.

A potential to advance into a Divisional Manager role upon demonstrated capability and performance.
The requirements of the job include:
-
Minimum 5 years of successful experience in capital equipment, industrial equipment, laboratory equipment, or technical solution sales, with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.

Ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and long purchasing processes, from opportunity development through closing.
-
Strong capability to develop and execute strategic territory or account plans to drive revenue growth and expand market presence.
-
Experience working with distributors, channel partners, or indirect sales models, including effective customer and key account relationship management.
-
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce.com or equivalent systems.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

Ability to travel up to 30%, sometimes including overseas business trips.

Must hold a valid driver’s license and comply with safe driving and zero-tolerance DUI policies.

Ability to safely move and position demo machines at event or customer sites as needed during on-site activities such as demonstrations or trade shows.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Familiarity with universities, research institutes, hospitals, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or industrial customers.

Knowledge of electron microscopy, sample preparation, materials science, life science, or related research workflows.

Understanding of government tenders, research funding projects, or public procurement processes.

Advanced English communication skills.

Experience working in multinational organizations and cross-functional environments.
