The Opportunity
We are looking for a Façade Designer based in Seoul who is fluent in Korean and able to work closely with local clients, consultants, and contractors. The ideal candidate will have experience in façade design and delivery, strong technical and coordination skills, and a good understanding of Korean regulations, construction practices, and procurement methods. This person will support project delivery through design development, drawing and specification reviews, technical assessments, and stakeholder engagement, while contributing to the growth of Arup’s façade capability in Korea.

Participate in façade design, engineering, consulting, and advisory work, supporting the balance between functional requirements and aesthetic considerations together with the Project Manager.

Support the Project Manager in preparing design documentation, presentation materials, and technical reports based on structural and environmental performance analysis of façade systems.

Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

The primary work location will be the Seoul office; depending on business needs, work arrangements may later include options such as remote working, overseas office assignments, or secondment to partner organisations.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher (4-year degree)

Experience: Minimum 3 years of practical experience in design and construction at local/ international façade consulting firm or façade contractors. Position level and salary may vary depending on experience.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in façade, architectural, or structural-related fields.

Experience in the design or construction phase of various façade systems.
다양한 파사드 시스템의 설계 또는 시공 단계의 경력 -
Experience in unitized curtain wall design is preferred.
유니타이즈 커튼월 설계 경력 우대 -
Experience in site inspection/supervision, test witnessing, and report preparation.
현장 감리 또는 시험관련 감리 및 레포트 작성 경력 -
Proficiency in 3D parametric modelling and digital design tools is preferred.
3D 파라메트릭 모델링 및 디지털 설계 도구 활용 능력 우대 -
Broad curiosity and willingness to learn across disciplines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
