Job Overview
We are looking for a Sr. Onsite Hardware Technician with graduate level experience looking to apply their technical skills in a fast-paced and complex environment. A working knowledge of server hardware and the desire to participate in projects at a large-scale data center is central to this role. This position will work to resolve and diagnose compute issues at scale, escalate issues, and work with remote engineering teams. Additionally, this role will support rack lifecycle processes with a focus on helping build out and support cloud scale compute and storage environments. Solid communication skills are a requirement for this role. This person should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and flexibility will be key to their success.
This position will be onsite in Korea at the customers data center located at:
Responsibilities
Monitor and perform on-going maintenance on servers and network equipment including hardware troubleshooting and replacement of hardware components
Provide IT support to staff and customers, as well as respond to server and network hardware issues.
Run complex hardware diagnostics and replace failing parts in a timely manner.
Collaborate with software and network engineering teams, as well as 3rd party vendors, on overall high-performance computing cluster health
Upgrade internal system components, including CPUs, memory, hard drives, and network cables.
Works within the client ticketing system for all hardware related high performance computing cluster observations.
Coordinate with logistics / inventory management team for hardware removal of components from the high-performance computing cluster
Guide Jr. Onsite Hardware Technicians on ticket resolution and complex observations with the high-performance computing cluster.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to document network processes.
Support with root cause analysis and continued improvement.
Respond to network and server errors, sometimes after hours
Participate in weekly on-call rotation.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in data center infrastructure and technologies.
Qualifications
CompTIA ServerPlus, CompTIA Network, or CCNP certification would be a plus
5+ year of experience as a data center technician, or similar.
In-depth knowledge of data center environments, servers, and network equipment.
Extensive expertise in installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center equipment.
Exceptional ability to work as part of a team, provide IT support, and resolve errors.
Ability to speak English and communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients.
