The Manager, FCS MSAT is responsible for is responsible for leading a high-performing team of technical scientists and serving as a technical leader for Cytiva’s filtration technologies in Korea. The role provides expert application support and technical guidance to customers and internal stakeholders while driving collaboration across commercial and cross-functional teams to address complex bioprocess challenges and support customer success.
This position reports to the Director-MSAT and is part of the Field Customer Support MSAT team and will be fully remote.
What you will do:
Position Objective

Lead Cytiva Korea BP FCS MSAT (former SLS) field support team and ensure that the team is executing its objectives
-
Create followership by providing technical mentorship and coaching to FCS MSAT associates in the region so as to enable them to independently resolve customer issues and provide technical solutions to customers
-
Provide expert technical support to customers and to Cytiva associates for Cytiva BP Filtration technologies and manage complex multidisciplinary issues across the region
-
Develop and nurture high-level technical relationships with GSAs in the region, specifically in Korea
-
Use expertise to develop and support external/internal customer processes
-
Work very closely with the key regional commercial leaders to drive business

Provide guidance on budget and CAPEX requirements to support Biotech business, as needed
Field Support Management (50%)
-
Lead regional FCS MSAT team and ensure that it responds to business needs in the Korea
-
Provide coaching and mentoring to FCS MSAT associates through Gemba, training and other means so as to enable them to operate independently as technical experts in the field
-
Provide guidance to team on appropriate scale up/scale down strategies to enable success
-
Collaborate with other stakeholders (quality, sales, marketing, validation, etc.) and other FCS regions to accomplish Cytiva BP objectives

Communicate business activities/requirements to FCS MSAT team on a regular basis
-
Ensure that regional team has P4G and D4G plans up to date and reviewed on a regular basis
-
Ensure that regional team is compliant to relevant Quality. Health & Safety and Environmental policies
-
Contribute to global FCS objectives and ensure that these are cascaded appropriately within region
-
Review and approve customer reports, in a timely manner
-
Ensure maintenance, OSHE requirements, and control over local customer support centre (CSC = laboratory) facilities and equipment, in a timely manner
-
Set CSC schedule and ensure all related CSC activity meets agreed target dates, as required locally to support Filtration BU
-
Recruit and train new BP staff – Technical or Commercial new staff, according to business needs

Monitor staff performance and initiate disciplinary procedures if required
-
Maintain excellent communication with the sales and FCS MSAT team, by holding regular team meetings, regionally and locally
-
Contribute to development of FCS MSAT objectives/goals for fiscal year to support local business needs, and to ensure alignment to higher level business objectives/goals, in a timely manner, regionally and locally

Ensure that time spent in each country/region, is appropriate, to meet all business needs
-
Review holiday requests, sickness forms and expenses, at the same time ensure business continuity
Technical support (40%)
-
Provide high level expert technical support for Filtration products
-
Develop and nurture high level technical relationships at key accounts in Korea and provide pre- and post-sales technical support for critical applications
-
Troubleshooting critical customer complaints and field investigations as required by QA/Sales, regionally and locally, as needed

Technical feasibility/application assessments, regionally and locally
-
External/Internal staff/customer/operator training, regionally and locally, as needed
-
Onsite technical unit operations support of Filtration product portfolio, regionally and locally, as needed
-
Participate in industry level seminars and represent Cytiva at industry events as speaker/consultant/expert
-
Maintain awareness of current regulatory trends, issues and guidelines relating to the products being supported in the biopharma industry for the regions specified
Project work (10%)
-
Lead and take responsibility for successfully completing assigned projects of high complexity, in broad areas of coverage and provide timely updates on project progress, deliverables and results
Who you are:
-
PhD/Master's degree or equivalent in Bioscience/Engineering, 10- 15 y relevant work experience; Or Bachelors’ degree and 12-17 (or more) y of relevant experience
