The community team creates word-of-mouth excitement and grows the lululemon collective by sharing our best in the world technical product with key fitness and lifestyle influencers, media, local partners, by creating best-in-class experiences and working with the Brand team to amplify this to the collective. The community team drives the local strategy and builds a plan that comprises broad and deep tactics to accelerate growth and long-term brand love and are best in the world at building relationships, online to offline tactics and delivery of KPI’s.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Community, the Events Lead is an industry leader who leads and collaborates with key cross-functional partners to create and execute dynamic brand events and experiences. This role holds a strategic position in KR to ensure a strong and premium guest experience and holds the ability to bring the community together with the works of key partnerships. This is achieved through a strong project leading skillset and high levels of communication.
role responsibilities
The KR Event Lead is responsible for bringing the lululemon brand to life through world class events. They are responsible for managing a portfolio of events and leading/consulting a team of specialist, coordinators and contractors that brings them to life. They set the three-year vision and strategy for their event portfolio and support the development and implementation of the five-year vision and strategy. This person is best in class at project management, event execution and cross-functional enrollment. Communication is at the forefront of everything they do, and they are efficient, organized and experienced at powerfully leading a cross-functional and diverse team towards a common goal.
- Create the vision and strategy for Events and Experiences across the KR business
- Design experiential concepts and tactics that deliver into brand objectives
- Company expert in all aspects of event planning, execution, and reconciliation
- Project manage, lead and execute large-scale events across KR
- Inspire, enroll, and coach cross-functional teams on execution of events across the KR business
- Manage relationships with event agencies and third-party suppliers, vendors, production, and contractors
- Develop integrated marketing strategy in partnership with Brand team & Retail for brand experiences and projects
- Strategizes and works with digital teams to activate experiences that connect the in-store and digital experience to advance omni experience for guests
- Accountable for the budget, KPI’s and event analysis and reconciliation
- Project related legal contract review and alignment
qualifications
- 7+ years’ experience in marketing (in-house and agency experiences are both relative)
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Event Management
- Passionate about leading teams to create world class guest experiences
- Ability to prioritize work and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- A track record of successfully delivering branded events from start to finish, on time and within budget
- Organized, responsible and flexible in a fast-paced growth environment
- Proven ability to negotiate, influence and collaborate with other key decision makers in a complex matrix environment
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Creative and strategic thinker who has delivered results through execution
- Self-motivated yet thrive in collaboration and teamwork
- Strong communication, stakeholder-relationship skills and presentation abilities
- Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving under pressure - ability to remain calm, assess situations objectively, and develop effective solutions in high-stress or time-sensitive scenarios
- Flexibility and adaptability - ability to pivot quickly when plans change, work across different events and audiences, manage shifting priorities, work non-traditional hours, and find creative solutions when original approaches fall through.
