We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in APAC at Seoul, Korea.
Job Purpose:
- As part of the DHL GBS (Global Business Services) Procurement team in Korea, you will provide a broad range of procurement services to DHL’s three business units in Korea: DHL Express, DHL Global Forwarding, and DHL Supply Chain.
- You will manage sourcing activities across various categories required by DHL’s business (for example, IT services, packaging materials, vehicles (truck/van), and transportation services). The exact categories assigned to you will be defined based on your capabilities and experience.
- You will carry out procurement activities in line with the guidance of the DHL Global and APAC Regional Procurement teams, and support Korea-related requests coming from the Global and APAC organizations.
Your tasks:
- Manage the full sourcing process (tenders, RFQ/RFP), from RFI through supplier selection to contract signing
- Screen and shortlist suppliers that best fit the tender requirements through RFI analysis
- Define supplier selection criteria by analyzing the scope and requirements of each tender
- Evaluate proposals, conduct supplier interviews, select suppliers, and negotiate commercial terms and conditions
- Manage recurring procurement contracts in line with their contract periods, including timely renewals
- Identify and manage new projects to deliver cost savings and process improvements
- Regularly monitor supplier service quality and ensure the stability of ongoing supply
- Keep up to date with market trends and new technologies in your assigned categories, and apply them to your work
- Respond to a wide range of procurement-related requests from requesting departments, internal customers, and DHL business stakeholders
- Coordinate supplier payment matters between the requesting departments, suppliers, and the finance/accounting team
- Collaborate on projects with the DHL Global and APAC Regional teams and support their requests
- Ensure adherence to DHL procurement policies and systems, and maintain accurate data (suppliers, rates, contracts, spend, and projects) in the procurement tools
- Conduct supplier risk assessments and support supplier sustainability (ESG) evaluations in line with DHL standards
Your profile:
Education Level
- University degree or above (a degree in logistics, business, or economics is an advantage)
Experience Level
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in procurement, supply chain management (SCM), logistics business, or project management
Other Key Requirements
- Good English communication skills (intermediate-high level or above in speaking, listening, writing, and reading)
- A diligent and reliable working attitude
- Willingness and ability to learn new tasks and processes quickly (e.g., DHL procurement policies and systems), with a proactive approach to self-development
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with business stakeholders and suppliers
- Strong teamwork and a high standard of business ethics
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in productivity tools (e.g., Excel, AI tools)
- Excellent document skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
