A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Material Planning Staff at MSD Korea, you will partner with Procurement, Production, Supply Planning, Sales, and Finance team to develop and execute material planning strategies that ensure material availability and optimize inventory. In this role, you will report to the SCM Manager.
You Will Make an Impact By:
Developing and maintaining material plans to support production schedules and customer demand.
Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring optimal stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
Collaborating with Procurement, Production, Warehouse, and Sales teams to ensure timely material availability.
Managing material shortages and coordinating recovery plans to minimize production disruptions.
Driving continuous improvements in planning processes, inventory accuracy, and supply chain efficiency.
Managing import and export customs clearance activities to ensure compliance with trade regulations and timely material movement.
Coordinating with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to support efficient import/export operations.
Travel Requirement: Up to 10% travel may be required.
Skills You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in Material Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management or related functions.
Preferred Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, preferred.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Physical Demand 1: Ability to occasionally walk through warehouse and production areas to verify inventory and material availability.
Physical Demand 2: Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods while analyzing data and preparing reports.
Working Condition 1: Primarily office-based environment with regular interaction with warehouse, production, and cross-functional teams.
Working Condition 2: May require flexibility to support urgent material shortages, inventory counts, and month-end activities.
