The Cohen Clinic network in Asia offers a unique opportunity to serve U.S. military families stationed at five U.S. military bases in the region. Point Clinical Services PLLC provides the licensed clinicians that deliver clinical services at the Cohen Clinics. If selected for this position, relocation assistance will be provided to South Korea, as applicable.
What you’ll do
We are seeking to add a Licensed Clinician to our team. Under the direction of the Clinic Director, you are responsible for providing evidence-based mental health treatment to veterans and their family members. You should have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and be skilled at offering targeted, measurement-based therapy using evidence-based treatments. You must have background and training in utilizing evidence-based interventions in the assessment and treatment of mood disorders, Post Traumatic Stress, and adjustment disorders. You will play a key role in delivering our evidence-based, targeted treatment model of care, which was built with several core elements in mind, including access to high quality care, low wait times, treating the entire military family and serving veterans regardless of role or discharge status. You will provide individual, couples, family and group therapy. Experience working with children and families is highly desired for this position. Specifically, you will:

Provide evidence-based treatment and diagnostic assessment for military family members, veterans, and other beneficiaries in the local area.
- Conduct and document client’s biopsychosocial assessments, on-going screening measures, and progress towards goals. Conduct clinical intake screening assessments on veterans and family members as needed. Provide individual, couples, family, group, and child psychotherapy to patients, utilizing evidence-based treatments.
- Assess and provide a mental health diagnosis based on presenting symptoms and history.
- Develop targeted treatment plan and conduct safety assessments and planning, as indicated
- Collaborate and coordinate with the caregiver, physician, director, and all other disciplines to provide the best care to patients as needed.
- Document treatment and assessments in the electronic health record within 2 business days of completed clinical session.
- Adhere to clinic procedures and processes in accordance with CARF International standards
- Participate in weekly clinical, supervision, and administrative meetings.
- Provide services via telehealth platform, as required.
- Perform other duties as required.
What’s required
- A Master’s degree in social work and licensed to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW, LICSW, or LCSW-C) or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
- Note: Degree and licensure must meet requirements to be eligible to bill Tricare and other insurance.
- Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain SOFA status for overseas assignment.
- At least three years’ experience. Experience working with adults, children, couples, and families.
- Knowledge of DSM-V diagnosis is required; Experience in PTSD diagnosis and treatment.
- Certification or documented proficiency in CBT. In addition, certification, or documented proficiency in one more of the following EBP’s: PE, CPT, WET, Gottman, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)is required within the first year of employment. Note: Training opportunities will be available via Cohen Veterans Network.
- Experience working with military populations and/or Veterans is strongly preferred; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
- Experience using an electronic health record system; experience using Cerner is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of clinical services and community resources.
- Some travel may be required.
- Perform other duties as assigned such as presentations to units, supervision (if LCSW-C), etc.
