We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our research and development team. In this role, you will help address core raw‑material science challenges that influence our ability to innovate in advanced cleans and slurry development. These challenges span the entire raw‑material ecosystem and require long-term, sustainable solutions. You will work across a variety of projects to understand material mechanisms, identify root causes, and develop practical improvements that enable stable and scalable product development in partnership with cross‑functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Develop innovative approaches to new raw material synthesis, and processing in collaboration with internal R teams and external suppliers
- Lead raw materials development from laboratory scale to high volume manufacturing at suppliers
- Responsible for supplier selection, technology transfer to supplier and troubleshooting of raw-material-related issues with cross-functional teams
- Work closely with R, supplier, purchasing, manufacturing, supply chain, and QC teams to ensure a stable and robust raw material supply
- Understand current raw material manufacturing capabilities and lead raw material quality improvement projects
- Design and conduct experiments and analyze data to ensure raw material’s robustness and consistency
- Manage and prioritize several projects at various stages of projects
- Organize data, prepare technical reports and deliver clear and effective presentations
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science or a related field
- Experience in chemical synthesis, including laboratory-scale reactions and process optimization
- Familiarity with analytical techniques such as NMR, FT-IR, SEM, TGA, DSC, HPLC, GC, etc.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in CMP slurry abrasives
- 2+ years of experience in nanoparticle synthesis or nanoparticle manufacturing
- 2+ years of experience with particle characterization techniques (particle size, zeta-potential, pH, density, titration, etc.)
- Experience working with particles, especially colloids or nanoparticles
- Knowledge and experience in process control
- Ability to follow established methods, conduct laboratory procedures accurately, and effectively communicate results to the team
- Proficiency in Excel, spreadsheet management, and statistical analysis software
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
