A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As an Associate Quality Engineer at MKS Korea, you will partner with Internal Teams to provide quality control support to the organization. In this role, you will report to the Quality Engineering Manager.
You Will Make an Impact By:
Developing, evaluating, revising, and applying technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment/fixture, and finished products
Ensuring activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations
Performing analysis and identifying trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommending corrective actions when necessary
Ensuring that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed
Assuring compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as GMPs and ISO regulations
Evaluating and analyzing the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records
Supporting supplier quality activities, including incoming material inspection, supplier performance monitoring, and coordination of corrective actions with suppliers to address quality issues
Skills You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 2-5 years' experience. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a technical degree
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Familiarity with inspection of incoming materials and finished products
Application of ANSA/ASQ z1.4/z1,0 sampling plans
Proficiency using basic mechanical and electrical tools such as torque drivers, digital calipers, micrometers, DMM's,
Proficiency in preparing documents in English
Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
Basic proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Minitab).
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with structured problem‑solving methodologies.
Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) methods
Familiarity with the Semiconductor capital equipment industry.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination
Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
Operates in a professional office and/or manufacturing environment
Ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards, including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat
Noise level in the work environment is usually average
