We are looking for a skilled Service Engineer to ensure successful execution of Valmet’s automation projects by applying strong engineering competence and delivering high quality solutions to our customers. In this role, you will collaborate closely with customers, project managers, and engineering teams to ensure smooth definition, implementation, testing, installation, and commissioning of Valmet’s Distributed Control Systems,
Primary responsibility in this role is to support and grow Valmet’s Automation market share by applying learned technical knowledge. Specifically, over time, employee will become responsible for the installation, maintenance and provision of customer-oriented service for DCS(Distributed Control System) ,QCS(Quality Control Systems),including hardware and process control software design and the implementation to the specifications of the customer. Employee will be required to spend extended periods of time on our customer site, assisting with project management, supporting other Engineers as well as investigating technical solutions to customer requests as well as being ‘on-call’ 24/7 when the need arises.
1. Customer Follow-up.
- Follow dedicated customer, as a customer front person.
- Identify potential support/upgrade/training sales.
- Manage customer relations / Ensure customer satisfaction / inform regional service management on dissatisfactions.
- Assist Service Manager to follow-up customer’s satisfaction inquiries.
- Make sure that the Customer install base information is up to date.
- Follow quality assurance guidelines.
- Be proactive by calling customer, finding out status of installed equipment and take/propose corrective actions.
2. Service tasks.
- Act as Service engineer – main responsibilities in QCS(Quality Control System)services including AMP(Analyzer & Measurement), Industrial IT System for our Korea installed base and reserve role as project management in future.
- Service – Including Implementation & after service(maintenance)
- Execute maintenance tasks
- Service Sales in Region based (East, West, Center)
- Assist the mill Sales manager in sales phase.
- Find out opportunities of add-on, upgrade through Life Cycle Roadmap. Develop the cases together with sales team.
- Follow delivery process with the supervisor’s support
- Provide day to day service, spare, on demands service.
- Provide monthly report to the Service Manager.
- Act in respect of safe working practices, according to legal requirements and corporate procedures.
3. Team work.
- Promote positive attitude and good motivation inside the team via own behavior.
- Provide monthly time-sheet according to company rules.
- Update regularly own planning to the database.
- Share good practice & knowledge with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
4. Expert.
- Support local team on QCS service and maintenance, also participate AMP related service projects in Korea.

KPI1 – Utilization rate
KPI2 －Customer satisfaction based on customer satisfaction survey
KPI3 – Knowledge of the product and its skill level development
Requirements.
5+ years of experiences in working for pulp & paper industry
Working experiences with QCS & AMP systems is a plus
Working English, Team building skill, technical product knowledge, cooperative in business and direct contacts, stress resistant, able to organize own work (independence and discipline), capable of a multitasking job, fast responsive and available.
Education
Preferred B.Sc degree in engineering.
