Overview
Teradyne is seeking a highly motivated Field Product Specialist (FPS) to support business growth and customer success in advanced SoC ATE (Automated Test Equipment) solutions. This role bridges customer needs with Teradyne’s technology, combining deep technical expertise with strong pre-sales engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Connect customer challenges with Teradyne solutions to drive growth and long-term partnerships.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Applications, and Engineering teams to shape proposals, influence product direction, and ensure customer success.
- Lead technical pre-sales efforts by clearly communicating product capabilities, functionalities, benefits, and value propositions to customers.
- Deliver impactful technical presentations at customer meetings, seminars, conventions, and exhibitions.
- Provide the sales team with technical support and product differentiation strategies to win business.
- Build and maintain trusted technical relationships with customer engineering teams.
- Support Design-In (DI) strategies by working closely with sales to position and drive adoption of Teradyne ATE solutions.
- Demonstrate clear competitive differentiation of Teradyne products and solutions versus industry competitors.
- Provide technical consultation and customized solutions for customer device evaluation and test development.
- Gather and relay customer feedback to influence product positioning, roadmap planning, and engineering decisions.
- Collaborate with factory and engineering teams to improve execution, product performance, and roadmap alignment.
- Analyze industry trends and customer requirements in SoC ATE, providing insights to marketing and engineering teams.
Basic Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience with leading-edge SoC ATE platforms (Teradyne and/or Advantest).
- Hands-on expertise with Teradyne systems such as UltraFLEX, UltraFLEXplus, ETS-800, ETS-88, or equivalent ATE platforms.
- Minimum 5+ years of technical leadership or lead engineer experience.
- Solid understanding of ATE industry trends, competitive products, and product positioning.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to collaborate, prioritize, and drive closure.
- Customer-first approach with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across customer and internal teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including engagement with technical and executive stakeholders.
- Good understanding of product development processes and semiconductor lifecycle.
- Strong foundation in analog components and circuit analysis.
- Programming experience in ANSI C, C++, C#, or similar languages.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in on-board programming, Boundary Scan, and functional test methodologies.
- Familiarity with advanced SoC test applications and system-level validation.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (BSEE, BSCS).
- Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
