Primary Purpose:
The Allocation Assistant Manager is responsible for driving inventory allocation and replenishment strategies to support sales, optimize inventory productivity, and improve stock efficiency across channels. Support the Sr. manager in driving Korea omnichannel business growth by developing inventory and allocation strategies aligned with brand priorities and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Allocation & Replenishment
- Manage allocation and replenishment activities for responsible channels/categories to maximize sales opportunities with healthy inventory flow.
- Lead newness allocation to support monthly floorset; translate assortment and buy plans into distribution strategies, considering store door profile, sales history and business priorities.
- Execute demand-based allocation strategies ensuring appropriate quantities are allocated based on sales expectations.
- Develop and execute channel-specific inventory allocation strategies by understanding the unique characteristics, customer demand patterns, and operational requirements of B&M and E-commerce business.
- Monitor sales trends, inventory productivity, sell-through, and weeks of supply (WOS) to make timely allocation decisions.
- Rebalance inventory within and across markets based on product performance to minimize stock imbalances and maximize sales opportunities.
- Build inventory plan for new store openings and events, considering business demand and product strategies.
- Consolidate product requests from stores and incorporate them into allocation decisions where appropriate.
Inventory Management & Analysis
- Conduct weekly reports analyzing inventory status by store, channel, category, and SKU, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Proactively identify inventory gaps, slow-moving stock, and replenishment issues, and recommend actionable solutions.
- Monitor inbound schedules, shipment priorities, and operational constraints to adjust allocation plans and coordinate execution timelines with Logistics accordingly.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Buying teams to align allocation strategy with assortment plans.
- Collaborate with Logistics teams to improve inventory flow and execution speed.
- Communicate allocation priorities, inventory risks, and action plans clearly to Retail sales team.
- Work closely with VM teams to support store readiness and product presentation needs.
Process Improvement & System Management
Participate in system enhancement projects and operational process improvements.
Maintain Door Profiling & set up any changes in the LMS (Location Management System)
Team & Execution Management
Ensure high standards of execution accuracy, timeline management, and operational follow-through.
Foster collaborative communication and proactive problem-solving within the team.
Support ad-hoc administrative work
Qualifications & Requirements
- 2-6 years of prior experience in Merchandise, planning, allocation, distribution, or supply chain.
- Experience managing inventory across multiple channels, including Retail, Outlet and E-commerce, preferred.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills; ability to translate large data into actionable business insights and inventory strategies.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to build strong partnerships with cross-functional partners.
- Detail-oriented with focus on accuracy and precision in inventory planning and shipment tracking.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to take ownership for continuous business improvement with a strong sense of urgency.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and adapting to changing organizational structures, priorities, and business requirements.
- Highly organized, resilient, able to work under stress with a positive approach.
- Advanced Excel skills, knowledge of AllocateSmart, BI System, SAP as a plus
- Fluent in English
