What we need:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Associate to support HR operations in Korea. Reporting to the Korea HR Manager, this role will play a key part in ensuring the smooth delivery of payroll, HR administration, employee lifecycle processes, and HR data management.
The successful candidate will work closely with employees, managers, external vendors, and regional HR stakeholders to deliver accurate and efficient HR operational support. As the HR function continues to grow, this role will have opportunities to participate in HR projects, process improvement initiatives, and regional HR activities across APAC.
The ideal candidate is highly organised, comfortable working with HR systems and data, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
This role will be based in Seoul, South Korea.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate monthly payroll activities with the external payroll vendor.
- Validate payroll inputs and support payroll reconciliations.
- Assist employees with payroll-related enquiries and ensure timely resolution.
- Support payroll audits and maintain payroll records.
- HR Operations & Administration
- Prepare HR documents including employment contracts, offer letters, employment certificates, and other employee-related documentation.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding administration, ensuring a smooth employee experience.
- Maintain employee records and ensure all HR documentation is accurately filed and updated.
- Support employee lifecycle processes and day-to-day HR operations.
- HR Systems & Data Management
- Maintain accurate employee data in SuccessFactors and other HR systems.
- Perform regular HR data audits, validations, and reconciliations.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal standards.
- Support system updates and ongoing HR data maintenance activities.
- Employee Records Management
- Manage and audit electronic employee personnel files.
- Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company requirements.
- Support internal and external audit requests related to HR documentation.
- Generate regular HR reports and workforce data reports.
- Support HR metrics tracking and reporting requirements.
- Assist with data analysis and preparation of management reports.
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee HR-related enquiries.
- Provide timely and professional support on HR policies, processes, and procedures.
- Escalate complex issues as appropriate.
- Actively champion and implement the organization’s policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in HR Operations, HR Administration, Payroll Administration, or a similar role.
- Experience working with external payroll vendors.
- Experience using HRIS platforms; SuccessFactors experience is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Korean and English.
Preferred
- Experience studying, living, or working overseas, or working in a highly international environment.
- Demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across APAC.
- Experience working in a multinational organisation.
