The Cohen Clinic network in Asia offers a unique opportunity to serve U.S. military families stationed at five U.S. military bases in the region. Point Clinical Services PLLC provides the licensed clinicians that deliver clinical services at the Cohen Clinics. CVN will provide relocation assistance for the selected candidate to Korea to deliver clinical services at the CVN Clinic.
What you’ll do
We are seeking to add a prescribing mental health provider to our team. Under the direction of the Clinic Director, you are responsible for providing diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary clinical team. Provide client-centered medication management treatment to military family members, veterans and their family members and eligible military contractors as part of their overall evidence-based treatment plan. You should have a basic knowledge of evidence-based mental health treatments to support the client’s multidisciplinary treatment plan. You will play a key role in delivering our evidence-based, targeted treatment model of care, which was built with several core elements in mind, including access to high quality care, low wait times, treating the entire military family and serving veterans regardless of role or discharge status. Experience working with children and families is highly desired for this position. Documentation of all clinical services/treatment in the electronic health record is required following every encounter. Specifically, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric diagnostic evaluations using clinical interviews, behavioral observations, client history and standardized psychometric instruments, as indicated.
- Prescribe appropriate psychotropic medication, monitor effects, adjust dosages and manage side effects
- Assess risk related to safety concerns and implement appropriate interventions and safety planning when needed.
- Develop targeted treatment plan for your client caseload as well as provide guidance to multidisciplinary
- Collaborate and coordinate with the caregiver, physician, director, and all other disciplines to provide the best care to patients as needed.
- Participate in weekly clinical, supervision, and administrative meetings.
- Perform other duties as required.
What’s required

Medical degree from an accredited college of medicine ormaster’s degree in Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing
- Board certification in psychiatry or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Licensed to practice independently in at least one state in the United States; license must be active and in good standing
- Note: Degree and licensure must meet requirements to be eligible to bill Tricare and other insurance.
- Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain SOFA status for overseas assignment.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines, including clinical and clerical staff
- Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic and psychopharmacological treatment skills
- Knowledge in DSM-V diagnosis is required
- Strong clinical skills working with adults, children, and families
- Familiarity with military culture and experience working with military populations
- Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain SOFA status for overseas assignment.
- Experience using an electronic health record system; experience using Cerner is a plus.
- Some travel may be required.
