THE TEAM
The Talent and Culture function focuses on driving people strategies that support business success, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure an engaging associate experience. The team contributes to recruitment, development, performance management, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness, working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to enable operational excellence.
YOUR ROLE
As Director of Talent and Culture, you will lead and manage all aspects of the Talent and Culture function, ensuring alignment with hotel standards and business objectives. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will play a critical role in shaping the associate experience, driving strategic people initiatives, and fostering a service-oriented culture that enhances both engagement and guest satisfaction. Acting as a trusted partner to leadership, you will ensure operational excellence across all Talent and Culture processes while supporting the overall success of the hotel.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE
- Lead and oversee all Talent and Culture operations, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and service standards
- Drive recruitment strategies and oversee the full hiring lifecycle in line with company standards
- Champion performance management processes, including reviews, development planning, and coaching
- Manage associate relations, including engagement, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes
- Lead training and development initiatives to build capability and drive continuous improvement
- Oversee compensation, benefits, and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture that promotes collaboration, productivity, and morale
- Partner with leadership to implement strategic people initiatives and support organizational objectives
COULD THIS BE YOU?
- You are fluent in Korean and have current or previous work experience in Korea
- You are an inspiring leader with a passion for developing people and building high-performing teams
- You bring strong expertise across recruitment, performance management, learning and development, and employee relations
- You have a solid understanding of labor laws, regulations, and Talent and Culture best practices
- You demonstrate strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
- You are financially astute, with experience managing budgets and driving cost efficiencies
- You communicate with clarity and influence, building strong relationships across stakeholders
- You maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential matters
- You bring experience within a luxury or ultra-luxury environment, with exposure to the Korean market and labor landscape
