We are looking for a Medical Strategy & Med. Info. Lead Neurology to join us,based in Seoul,Korea.
About the role
Identifies and fosters purposeful partnerships with key scientific influencers to drive new sources of patient value. Converses in two-way scientific interactions, disease state and treatment algorithm discussions optimizing understanding of UCB therapies for the right patient segments in a scientific and balanced manner within the local health ecosystem. Collaborates to advance local patient value oriented initiatives i.e., Medical, RWE) with key stakeholders
Guides the assessment, planning and implementation activities to ensure maximum patient and stakeholder value creation, and fulfillment of nPVU strategies.
Ensures that individuals have the training, market knowledge and resources to effectively support individual liaisons and partners in driving patient value creation and achieving nPVU business objectives.
Ensure UCB Operational Compliance to the highest professional standards. The expectation is that compliance is a part of how we operate. Compliance violations may lead to disciplinary action including impact on annual appraisals. Adherence to compliant behavior is an expectation at UCB.
What you’ll do
Key Activities:
- Play key role by via medical activities for launch readiness of upcoming pipelines
- Support the development of UCB population health strategies for gaining adoption of UCB approaches for improving diagnosis, treatment and overall management of epilepsy and movement disorders in ways that create patient value, advance stakeholder objectives and increase use of nPVU medicines where appropriate.
- Shares best practices in engagement and proposal process to secure data, findings and publications that document new perspectives on patient value creation with UCB promoted products across ecosystems and patient segments in accordance with Neurology RWE data strategy plan.
- Agile and proactive identification and management of key scientific and medical influencers based on local ecosystem dynamics and stakeholder needs and drivers (from push to pull)
- Exploration and identification of new sources of patient value (innovative solutions and services)
- Manage and generate product/ disease state data (IIS, audits, RWE etc.)
- Support clinical studies, clinical development and share insights with R&D team
- Serving as the leading local scientific expert for UCB solutions
- Oversight UCB cares partner’s activities on medical information handling
Key Deliverables:
- Partners with key clinical stakeholders to advance medical initiatives, in defined strategic areas, to drive optimal patient care. Also, partner with other stakeholders like payers, patient organizations and patients might be relevant depending on the available resources within local organization.
- Provides scientific expertise and interpretation to strategic initiatives in collaboration with other local Partner roles
- Shares insights, innovation opportunities and patient needs internally to the PVU and New Meds
- Capitalizes on RWE and uses them to further reinforce the value that UCB solutions bring to patients.
- Proactively engages relevant stakeholders to move the UCB medical & scientific agenda forward
- Acts as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for a (select) pre-determined list of HCPs and connects customers to the right UCB resource as needed
- As needed, plays a role in optimizing the understanding of UCB therapies for the right patient segments through a deep scientific and product knowledge
- The Affiliate Medical Information Personnel
- Perform Medical Information activities in line with Core Global Medical Information (MI) Standards sop-008513.
- Perform Medical Information activities in compliance of global and local requirements and regulations.
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
- At least 7+ years in stakeholder facing roles within healthcare industry
- Fluent in Korean (writing and speaking)
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary and/or matrixed teams
- Bachelors’ degree in life sciences or healthcare required
- PharmD, PhD or MD preferred
- Knowledge of appropriate regulatory guidelines
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing, developing, and influencing teams
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications
- Demonstrated strength in business planning, tactical plan development and execution
- High Compliance Awareness (CIQ)
- Strategic planning and Problem solving
