We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Non-Financial Risk Management, MSS (GCB 4)
In this role you will:

Drive implementation of initiatives to optimize risk assessment and internal processes to effectively manage risks along Markets and Securities Services businesses (FX, Rates, Derivatives, Credit, Trading, Sales, Money Markets, Custody, Trust Services, etc) as the first line of defense

Stay on top of operational incidents and control issues affecting MSS Korea, ensuring timely escalation, clear documentation, robust root cause analysis, and effective communication to relevant stakeholders

Proactively identify emerging risks arising from business activity, regulatory developments, process weaknesses, people changes or organizational change, and translate these into practical mitigation or control enhancement actions

Provide effective oversight, coaching, training, and quality review of offshore Bangalore support, helping to prioritise work, clarify expectations and improve consistency and execution quality

Maintain strong execution discipline across the NFR agenda, including governance actions, incident remediation, RCA refreshes, issue management, reporting and action tracking

Act as principal contact point for Audit & other independent functions in the second line of defense that conduct periodic surveillance and control reviews

Establish and maintain a robust and efficient control environment ensuring early identification and escalation of issues that arise and appropriate resolution
To be successful you will need:

In-depth knowledge of non-financial risk management policy and procedures, strong understanding of Markets and Securities Services business and products

Strong experience in business management, Audit or risk/control roles

Strategic thinker with strong analytical and project management skills to enhance procedures and controls

Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

Ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior executives

Well developed leadership and people management skills, able to drive change and provide positive influence to achieve organisation goals

Strong problem solving and prioritization skills and be able to perform multitask under pressure with a keen eye for detail

Excellent team player with a proactive and self-motivated attitude and ability to think and act independently
Qualification :

Degree holder, preferably with a professional qualification, with strong knowledge of internal control and risk management in markets

Strong experience in business management, Audit or risk/control roles within a markets business

Strong understanding of Markets business and products

Strategic thinker with strong analytical and project management skills to enhance procedures and controls

Well developed leadership and people management skills, able to drive change and provide positive influence to achieve organisation goals

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to negotiate and work effectively with senior business leaders across business lines and geographies
