Your role:
The Lead Systems Engineer is responsible for driving system-level engineering execution across multiple concurrent customer projects in a high-mix, low-volume semiconductor equipment environment.
This role combines deep engineering knowledge with strong project and task management capabilities to ensure successful execution of customer programs from concept through deployment.
The position serves as a key technical leader responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing technical risks, aligning customer requirements, and driving project execution while maintaining system-level integrity.
Unlike a traditional Principal Engineer focused on long-term technology strategy, this role emphasizes execution, coordination, technical governance, and delivery of multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced customer environment.
Key Responsibilities
System Engineering Leadership

Maintain system-level ownership of customer solutions and engineering deliverables.

Understand and assess impacts across Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, and Service functions.

Translate customer requirements into executable technical plans.

Drive system-level problem solving and technical decision making.

Ensure engineering changes and design decisions maintain overall system integrity
Project & Task Management
- Lead multiple concurrent engineering projects with competing priorities and aggressive timelines.

Develop and maintain execution plans, schedules, milestones, and action tracking.

Identify project risks and drive mitigation actions.

Coordinate resources across engineering disciplines to meet customer commitments.

Escalate critical issues and drive timely resolution.

Improve project execution discipline through structured governance and reporting.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a technical focal point for strategic customer programs.

Lead technical discussions with customers and internal stakeholders.

Coordinate communication between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Service, Supply Chain, Sales, and Project teams.

Support customer escalations and complex technical issues.
Compliance & Technical Governance
- Coordinate certification and compliance related activities.

Ensure regulatory, quality, and customer requirements are incorporated into project execution.

Support technical reviews, risk assessments, and engineering change processes.

Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
Operational Excellence

Establish project visibility through KPI and dashboard reporting.

Improve engineering workflow efficiency and prioritization.

Drive standardization and best practices for project execution.
Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Systems, or related Engineering discipline.

8+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment or industrial equipment engineering.

Strong understanding of complete system architecture and product lifecycle.

Proven experience managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously.

Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Fluent Korean and business-level English
