The Software Engineer is responsible for the development and implementation of application and systems software within the product line. The position will contribute to developing, debugging, and testing software applications and system components to enhance product functionality and support system integration.

Roles and Responsibilities

Working closely with senior engineers and architects to understand requirements and software development activities.

Implementation of software features based on design specifications and guidance

Contributing to development and maintenance of application software components.

Participating in testing and debugging software to ensure quality and reliability.

Collaborating with global teams to support consistent and reusable software development practices.

Troubleshooting and resolving software defects and performance issues.

Contributing to continuous improvement of development processes and software quality
Quality Specific Goals:

Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables

Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
-
0–7 years of experience in software development (including internships or academic projects).

Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and testing practices.
- Basic programming skills in one or more languages such as C++, C#.

Basic understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.

Business-level English communication skills for global collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related computer field

Experience in application development using modern frameworks and development tools

Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal)
