Business Intelligence & Data Specialist

Mission

To accelerate data-driven decision-making within Servier Korea by designing and managing robust BI solutions. This role focuses on leveraging the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and PowerBI to transform complex data into actionable business insights.
Additionally, the specialist will collaborate with stakeholders to foster a data-centric culture across the affiliate.

This position reports to Head of Business Excellence.

Job Description

Candidate Profile

Activities & Responsibilities

[DaaS Ecosystem Management & Data Visualization]

DaaS Ecosystem Management: Leverage the Global DaaS (Data as a Service) platform to manage the lifecycle of data, ensuring it is ready for business analysis and visualization.

Data Pipeline Maintenance: Build and maintain efficient data connections using Data Loaders and integration tools within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.

Hands-on Power BI Implementation: Develop and deploy insightful Power BI dashboards using DAX and data modeling to transform raw data into intuitive visual insights.

System Integrity & Performance: Ensure the reliability and speed of data delivery from GCP to Power BI, maintaining high standards for data accuracy and security.

Digital Continuity (Interim): Maintain and manage the corporate website (WordPress) as an interim digital administrator, ensuring content accuracy and platform stability.

[Insight Generation & Strategic Support]

Business Requirement Support: Collaborate with internal teams to understand their data needs and assist in translating business questions into functional dashboards and reports.

Operational Reporting & Analysis: Provide descriptive analysis to support tracking of sales performance and key business metrics, contributing to data-driven decision-making.

Data Quality Maintenance: Monitor and verify data accuracy and consistency across BI platforms, ensuring compliance with global security and integrity standards.

Performance Monitoring: Help track the usage and technical performance of BI tools to ensure a smooth experience for end-users.

[Training, User Support & Project Coordination]

User Support & Training: Conduct onboarding training and technical guidance to end-users (Sales, Marketing, etc.) to help them utilize self-service BI tools effectively.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the Global BI roadmap and suggest practical ways to improve existing dashboards and data workflows.

Project Task Management: Coordinate project timelines and tasks to ensure the on-time delivery of BI and digital updates, keeping stakeholders informed of progress.

[Ad-hoc Analysis]

Work with Head of BEX to deliver Ad-hoc analysis for data driven decision making

Requirements

[Knowledge & Academic Qualifications]

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, IT, Statistics, Business Administration (with a focus on Analytics) or a related field; or equivalent practical experience in data analytics and BI tools.

[Experience]

3+ years of hands-on experience in BI development, data analysis, or data engineering.

[Required / Must-have]

Data Platforms: Strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem and Data Loader/integration tools.

Visualization Tools: Hands-on expertise in Power BI (including Power Query, DAX, and Power Pivot).

Global Communication: Business-level English proficiency for direct collaboration with Global & Regional BEX Organization.

Tools: Expertise in Microsoft Office suite , with advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., Power Query, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas) for data pre-processing.

[Preferred / Nice-to-have]

Industry Experience: Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is a plus.

Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of SQL for data manipulation; familiarity with Python or R for advanced analytics.

Platform Management: Basic to intermediate skill in WordPress for platform management and content updates.
