고객사의 데이터센터 운영 전반을 담당
고객 문의 대응 및 심층 장애 분석/해결
DCIM 시스템을 통한 하드웨어 인벤토리 및 케이블 포트 관리
하드웨어 설치/해체(랙/스택) 및 케이블 작업(라우팅, 종단, 구조화 배선)
원격 지원(전원 사이클, 부품 교체, 하드웨어 업그레이드, 케이블 테스트 등)
입출고 화물 관리 및 검수
서비스 티켓 관리(생성/업데이트/종료)
물리적 접근 통제 및 보안 유지
전원 유지보수 이벤트 관리
예비 부품 및 소모품 재고 관리
고객/벤더 협업 및 프로젝트 조율
팀원 업무 배분 및 에스컬레이션 담당
데이터센터 기술자 L2 경력 1~3년 이상

Position Overview and Objectives:
Take queries from Client to facilitate in-depth troubleshooting and backend analysis.
Provide swift break-fix support and resolution.
Communicate with the user for an in-depth analysis of the problem before providing a solution.
Quickly determine if issues require communication for SME support.
Provide extensive troubleshooting support, as needed.
Manage hardware inventory and cable ports availability in DCIM system.
Perform hardware installations (rack/stack) and cable installations (routing, terminating, structured cabling), including troubleshooting and testing. Perform hardware decommission and cable removal.
Perform remote hands support (e.g., power cycles, physical environment, and cabling inspections, swap out failed components, hardware upgrades, testing of copper and fibre cables, handling storage media, and enter troubleshooting commands).
Prepare and coordinate incoming/outgoing shipments. Compare packing lists with purchase details to ensure correct make, model, and quantities are received and receipted.
Support Service Management and related processes (e.g., Service Request, Incident, Change) by creating, updating, and closing associated tickets. Oversee and support Physical access processes to maintain secure Data Centre facilities.
Play an active role in managing the execution of the Power Maintenance Events.
Oversee, track, maintain, order adequate sparing, cabinets, and consumable levels.
Perform physical audits and ensure the Service Management database is updated and accurate.
Handle tape backup media and prepare for offsite storage if applicable.
Collaborate and maintain business relationships to meet and exceed client expectations with respect to business as usual and project activities.
Coordinate projects – Data Centre Solution tools, space planning, power requirements, cabling requirements. Work with Client/Vendor, order cables and related supplies.
Allocate job tasks to staff. May maintain staff’s shift scheduling and approve timecards.
Act as a point of escalation.
Qualifications:
1-3 years Data Centre Technician L2 experience.
Coordinates delivery and operation of IT infrastructure (hardware and cabling) to documented strategy and standards, service catalogue, industry specifications (i.e., ISO9001 and ISO27001), schedule, quality, and customer expectations. Allocates job tasks to staff.
Participates in the management of 24x7 Proximity Services operations for assigned data centres, delivering standardized services including physical access, remote hands, hardware inventory management, installation and cabling, and data centre operations site management.
Develops and nurtures strong relationships with other technology organizations and identifies opportunities to provide additional service capabilities.
Assists in managing performance and developing a team comprised of up to 4 direct reports assisting management in recruiting, development, retention, performance reviews, recommending candidates for promotion, and managing performance improvement plans.
Partners with the Critical Environment team to plan and execute agreed power maintenance events.
Participates in data centre provisioning forums and reviews industry standards for whitespace planning to improve time to market, quality, consistency, and accuracy across assigned data centres.
Fosters a culture of customer-focused behaviours and continuous operational improvement.
Participates in the delivery of data centre optimization and closure programs.
Perform additional job duties as required.
Knowledge and Experience:
1-3 years Data Centre Technician experience at L2.
Knowledge of CommScope and Corning products.
Experience with Server/Networking hardware.
Strong knowledge of PC and Server Hardware as well as networking.
Strong understanding of Data Centre Power schemes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
