Position Overview
ASCO is seeking a motivated and technically capable Sales Engineer to drive sales and business development for ASCO Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and related critical power solutions in the Korean market.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key customers and distributors, providing technical support throughout the sales process, and coordinating with Schneider Electric and ASCO teams to deliver the right solutions for customer requirements.
This position requires a strong understanding of electrical power systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage projects from initial inquiry through order execution and delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales strategies for ASCO Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Transfer Switches, and related critical power products.

Identify and develop new business opportunities in data centers, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, healthcare, infrastructure, and other critical power applications.

Manage existing customers, distributors, consultants, contractors, and system integrators to strengthen business relationships and increase sales.

Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate technical and commercial solutions.

Review project specifications, single-line diagrams, technical documents, and customer requirements to determine suitable product configurations.

Prepare quotations, technical proposals, product selections, and commercial offers in coordination with internal teams.

Support customers and distributors with technical inquiries, product selection, application engineering, and troubleshooting.

Manage sales opportunities and projects throughout the entire sales cycle, from RFQ and proposal through purchase order, production, FAT, delivery, and after-sales support.

Coordinate with Schneider Electric / ASCO factories, engineering, product management, service, and other internal teams regarding technical and commercial matters.

Monitor project schedules, order status, production, delivery, and customer requirements to ensure successful project execution.

Conduct customer presentations, product demonstrations, technical meetings, and project reviews.

Monitor market trends, competitors, customer requirements, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities.

Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and business reports.

Support resolution of customer complaints, quality issues, warranty matters, and technical concerns in cooperation with relevant internal teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

3+ years of experience in technical sales, electrical equipment, power distribution, automation, or a related industry.

Understanding of electrical power distribution systems and critical power applications.

Experience with Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), switchgear, circuit breakers, power distribution equipment, or related products is preferred.

Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional and international teams.

Business-level English communication skills for communication with overseas teams and customers.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in selling ATS, switchgear, LV/MV electrical equipment, or critical power solutions.

Experience working with data centers, semiconductor facilities, industrial plants, or other mission-critical facilities.

Experience working with electrical consultants, EPCs, contractors, distributors, or system integrators.

Knowledge of relevant IEC, UL, IEEE, and other electrical standards.

Existing network within the electrical power distribution or critical infrastructure market.
