Korean-English Medical Interpreter
Medilinkers LLC is looking to hire Korean and English speakers for a remote interpreter position. As a Korean consecutive medical interpreter, your primary responsibility is to facilitate communication between healthcare providers and Korean-speaking patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate consecutive interpretation for medical conversations, diagnoses, treatments, and healthcare-related information.
- Facilitate clear communication between patients and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and follow professional interpretation standards.
- Provide cultural mediation when needed.
- Keep up to date with medical terminology and healthcare practices.
- Accurately document interpretation services when required.
Requirements:
- Fluency in Korean and English.
- Previous experience in medical interpretation or translation.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and professionalism.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Technical Requirements:
- Minimum 15 Mbps internet connection.
- PC/laptop with at least 8GB RAM and 5th-generation processor or higher.
- Reliable LAN/Ethernet connection.
- USB headset.
- HD webcam.
- Quiet and professional workspace suitable for confidential conversations.
Work Details:
- Remote position.
- Interpretation through OPI (audio) and VRI (video).
- Hourly-based shifts.
- EST time zone.
- Independent Contractor position.
- Mandatory training and assessment required before onboarding.
